Summary of Purpose
In stroke survivors, atrial fibrillation is typically detected with short-term electrocardiogram (ECG) monitoring in the stroke unit. Prolonged continuous ECG monitoring is impractical and requires substantial resources while insertable cardiac monitors are invasive and costly.
