Summary of Purpose

The combination of aspirin and dipyridamole, two antiplatelet drugs, is approved in Italy for the secondary prevention of cerebral embolism in patients with carotid atherosclerosis. Besides antiplatelet activity, Dipyridamole has additional pharmacological action, including vasodilation and antioxidant properties.
