Trial Description

To test the hypothesis that a higher proportion of patients will be independent after receiving stroke rehabilitation in a stroke unit compared to a medical unit.

Trial Design

Randomized, controlled trial of 307 patients.

Patient Involvement

Patients were randomized to receive care in a stroke unit or medical unit.
