To evaluate the efficacy of intravenous heparin in the prevention of stroke progression or death in patients with acute partial stable stroke.

Intervention Desc: Intravenous anticoagulant.
Trial Design
Randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial of 225 patients at 3 centers.
Patient Involvement
Patients were randomized to receive intravenous heparin or placebo for 7 days. Follow-up period of 1 year.
