Intervention Desc: Treatment with oxygen under elevated atmospheric pressure
- Physical therapy Other
Controlled, intervention study.
The patients received 30 Hyperbaric Oxygen (HBO) sessions of 45 minutes at 170 Kpa of isopressure with simultaneous Physical Therapy (given inside the hyperbaric chamber and by the same therapist) during a 6-week period. Prior to and after the program, the patients are evaluated by the same doctor using the usual scales (Barthel and Ashworth). Follow-up at 3, 6 and 12 monts after the end of the program.
