Trial Design

Prospective, stratified, randomized, controlled multi-center, open trial of 104 patients in 3 parallel groups. Stratification was by side of cerebral lesion (right/left), diabetes mellitus (yes/no), and hospital (Mölndal/Sahlgrenska/Östra).
