The mean change in temperature was -1.6 degrees n the helmet group, and +0.22 degrees in the control group (p < 0.0001). For patients in the study group there was an average of 1.84 degrees reduction in brain temperature within the first hour of helmet application. There were no serious complications or adverse events. Efficacy data (NIHSS, Rankin) was not published.
