Trial Description

To evaluate the effect of antihypertensive therapy withdrawal on clinical outcome in patients with acute ischemic stroke and hypertension.

Trial Design

Randomized, prospective trial of 112 patients.

Patient Involvement

All patients received antihypertensive therapy initially. Antihypertensive therapy was then withdrawn randomly from one group while it was continued in the remaining group.
