Stroke Interventions in Clinical Trials
Printable Version
Warfarin
Coumadin®

Action
Anticoagulant (Vitamin K antagonist)

Status
Warfarin is superior to aspirin for stroke prevention in atrial fibrillation is many settings. WARSS trial showed no benefit of warfarin compared to aspirin for non-cardioembolic stroke.
