Platelet aggregation inhibitor

Status
Dipyridamole is US FDA approved as an adjunct to coumarin anticoagulants in the prevention of postoperative thromboembolic complications of cardiac valve replacement. Aggrenox (extended-release dipyridamole 200mg/aspirin 25mg) was approved by the US FDA 11/99 for prevention of recurrent strokes and TIAs.
