Intravenous Ancrod for treatment of
acute ischemic stroke (STAT)

• 500 patients within 3 hours of ischemic stroke

• IV Ancrod infusion titrated to target fibrinogen level of
   1.18-2.03 μ mol/L vs. placebo

• 1 endpoint: favorable functional status at 90 days 
    (BI ≥ 95 or at least equal to pre-stroke value)
