Generalizing from Clinical Evidence

When considering any source of evidence about treatment other
than N of 1 RCTs, clinicians are generalizing from results in other
            people to their own patients.

Inferences may nevertheless be strong, if results come from a
meta-analysis of methodologically strong RCTs with consistent results
and are generally somewhat weaker if we are dealing with only a
single RCT, unless it is large and has enrolled a diverse patient
            population.
