Each
time we are faced with a treatment decision, it is
obligatory for us to ask:
What is the quality of the evidence
available to allow us to choose among treatment
alternatives for this patient?
In
some cases, the evidence will be excellent and in
other cases it will be non-existent. But whatever
the quality and quantity of the evidence, every
physician will be familiar with it and use it as the
basis for individual treatment decisions.
