Remarks:

The primary end point of PROGRESS was incidence of all stroke (whether fatal or non fatal).

Secondary end points included fatal or disabling strokes, total cardiovascular events (non fatal stroke, non fatal myocardial infarction, or cardiovascular death), total deaths, hospital admissions, and dementia and cognitive decline.
