My best friend Lena comes over after school. Mama and Lena’s mother sit on the patio. When Lena says, “Hi” to Grandpa, I try to see what she sees. Grandpa’s smile still droops, and one side of his face looks like a flat pancake. But I think he looks great!

Some of my friends don’t come over, because they don’t know how to act around Grandpa. Mama says I should be patient with them. So I go to their houses instead.
I hope they'll come by soon and see how easy he is to get along with.
