Grandpa comes home from the hospital today. He looks strange coming up the walk, bundled up in pillows in his wheelchair. Grandpa can't walk now. Mama says his right side doesn't work, like when my arm falls asleep. He doesn’t look like the Grandpa who used to take me to the Zoo, give me butterscotch candies, and tell me stories about Lulu, the baby elephant.

"Come welcome your Grandpa, Janie,” says Mama.
