A 60-year-old right-handed man noted the sudden onset of slurred speech, dizziness, diplopia, incoordination, tinnitus, headache, and left-sided weakness about 30 minutes ago. At the Emergency Department, vital signs are normal, and initial general examination is not remarkable. An attorney, he is in good health, and takes one aspirin (325 mg) per day, including this morning. A CT brain scan is performed.
