About this Site

he Internet Stroke Center is a non-profit, educational service of the Stroke Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, Washington University Medical Center and the Cerebrovascular Diseases Section of the Department of Neurology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.

The Internet Stroke Center exists to advance understanding of stroke research and clinical care.  Our goal is to provide current, professional, un-biased information about stroke. The information on this site is obtained from published accounts, meeting presentations, internet searches, and direct correspondence.

We always welcome contributions from others at Washington University and elsewhere.  If you have information about a stroke center, web site, clinical trial, symposium, or postdoctoral fellowship opportunity -- please let us know about it. However, our site does not host or receive funding from advertising or from the display of commercial content.

We also invite your comments or suggestions about this site.  Due to the high volume of e-mail we receive, however, we cannot respond to every message. Also, please note that we cannot answer medical questions by e-mail. Thanks for visiting out site!
